» STOMORSKA: general information and the location of Olyntha Resort

Stomorska, a village on the north-eastern coast of the island of Solta. Chief occupations are farming, seafaring, fishing and tourism. Situated on the regional road running along the island. Ferry and catamaran connections with Split and the island of Brac.

Stomorska is the oldest coastal village of the island that traces back to 17th ct. Because of its attractive location on the slopes of the mount, the village is very attractive and it is also very well known for its summer fishermen parties. There are restaurants where you can sample the delights of Dalmatian cooking or sit and relax in one of the bars/cafes and have a quiet drink. For those that enjoy swimming or snorkelling there are numerous rocks by the shore that are very convenient for this. You can walk to nice flat stones or cliffs where you can enjoy your privacy. The main beach is near the center of the village and it is graveled


Olyntha Resort is located in the close proximity of the town centre and the main pebbly beach. All houses enjoy wonderful sea views and are fitted to a high specification with built in kitchens and air conditioning as standard. The Resort consists of 16 duplex houses, built in typically Dalmatian Style, each with private pool, garden and garage.

» ISLAND OF SOLTA: general information

The island of Solta belongs to the middle Dalmatian islands. It lies in the central part of the Adriatic Sea, near its eastern coast. Restless and spiteful outlines of the island, its beauty and healing healthy climate promise a complete peace and pleasant moments in harmony with nature.

Solta’s coast is mainly steep especially on the open-sea side. It is well indented by numerous coves that were made by sinking of parts of valleys (dry cove) that were cut into less resistant limestone. On the northern part there are larger coves: Necujam (the largest Solta’s cove – its length is 1,8 km, and width is to 1,2 km), Rogac, Stomorska, Donja Krusica, Gornja Krusica. On the southern part there are larger coves: Tatinja, Senjska, Stracinska, Livka and Poganica. The western coast is the most indented part of the island. There are three coves: Sesula, Maslinica and Sikova vala. The coastline is 73,1 km long, and together with the coast of its 7 islets it is 81,1 km long. It is at a distance of 15 km (9 nautical miles) from Split.
